Since finding the Netflix series Stranger Things created by Matt and Ross Duffer so enthralling, it took me back to what it used to be like in the eighties. The colours, patterns, and styles legwarmers, puff sleeved denim and even the old-style vans we all used to wear. The gadgets that the younger generations find so amusing, yes, the phones were very large, and the music was inspiring. Life we never really took seriously and was fun.
So, I started looking back through some of my design work created at this time. They hadn’t been digitised, designing with computers was in its infancy, so have had fun scanning and putting them into repeats, also creating new ones along the way, designing whilst playing some eighties classics in the background for inspiration getting into the vibes. Bold shapes clean lines, fun colours, simple but not simple if you understand my meaning? Had a lot of fun creating my eighties design range, hope you think so too.
